Regardless of our age, Christmas transports us back to our childhood: tinsel on the tree, stockings hung by the fireplace, colorful packages, homes are filled with the delightful smells of baking loaves of sweet bread, cakes filled with candied fruits, and spicy cookies and traditional celebrations with faithful friends and relatives. For our children, this holiday is still being written upon their future memories. 
On Christmas eve the angelic harmony  of the choir fills the church with a tender and inspiring emotion and the  gathering together of family and friends evokes the spirit of the time of year.
It is the season for giving, and the season of charity in the heart.
While we share in joyful celebrations and special times with family and friends lets remind ourselves and those close to us the true meaning of the holiday and the  precious meaning of peace, love and faith that began on one silent night in a town called Bethlehem.
Let's treasure those memories and share with others on the Christmases yet to come.
